Designing a New Delivery MethodInnovationLabs Worked with the Annie E. Casey Foundation to Design a New Method for Delivering Services to Low Income FamiliesOver a period lasting several years (between 2002 and 2005), InnovationLabs worked with the Annie E Casey Foundation on several projects - The Center for Working Families, Making Connections and most recently we supported the Casey Foundation's internal consulting group working with the Wayne County Department of Human Services.
Center for Working FamiliesOur relationship with the Annie E Casey Foundation began in the fall of 2002. We facilitated a two day session focused on the conceptual design for the Center for Working Families (a new idea for the delivery of services for low income familes). We followed up a year later in the winter of 2003 with several sessions - one focused on business model development and the other was a learning exchange - bringing a diverse group of people together with members from the prototype sites to share lessons learned. In the summer of 2004 we facilitated a session focused on the information technology needed to support a Center for Working Families. We also conducted some ethnographic research at several of the prototype sites to learn about how people were actually utilizing the Centers. In the summer of 2005 we worked with the Center for Working Families in Atlanta to design their new facilities. Making ConnectionsIn June of 2003 we worked with the Making Connections team in Seattle to help develop a model for integrated services delivery in the White Center, WA.
Child Welfare in Wayne CountyIn January of 2005 we worked with the Casey Foundation's internal consulting group to support the Wayne County, MI Department of Human Services. This two day session focused on exploring the future of child welfare in Wayne County. The Casey Consulting Group continues to work closely with DHS to implement the ideas developed during that session. For more information contact Michael Kaufman. |
