The primary objective of this Summit is to establish an international research agenda that focuses on nursing certification and competency.
The goals for the Summit include:
- Obtaining consensus on research priorities that focus on nursing certification, competency and competency assessment
- Considering future research projects that address the research priorities
- Creating opportunities for organizations to partner on research activities
- Establishing plans for organizations to adopt the research agenda
- Designing key messages for communicating a national research agenda
- Identifying potential funding sources
The information provided here will be used by the participants in the Summit to prepare for the conversations that will be taking place during the Summit. The results of the Summit will be documented and made available to the participants in form of a web site and a summary document.
