Let's look at what is up here. Are there any surprises? Anything stand out? Is there anything else that you can’t live with? What’s going to happen is that the board is coming in here and they are going to look at all this.
Comment: I don't want to lose my job. I travel for 3 schools to keep it and I would like us to think about what we really need. It would be nice to do what we do to keep our jobs and do them better and teach our kids. I don't want Coleridge to close down in a couple of years. Instead of splitting everybody maybe we could keep what we have. Maybe this is selfish but I think if we want to keep people happy we need to pull together.
Comment: We've seen these things before, but I'd like to see you guys pick out 3 or 4 things and see them really accomplished. Dan Hoesing can't write all the grants himself. Maybe we should start training someone how to do grant writing? We need to start picking up the slack.
MK: That’s revenue generation. There’s a bunch of money out there that can be gotten through this grants.
Comment: I’ve learned a lot about grants. You have to remember that when you get money from grants it’s not that you can spend it any which way you want. You have to fulfill the obligations of the grant. You have to give something back.
MK: Okay if that’s all, we have one more thing to hear from Dan before we call it a day.
Dan Hoesing
The opportunity to generate more money is for new things. This effort is not easy. We have 100 people here together to try to make the best decisions. Our board will always try to make things better. They will never take a decision that makes something worse. As we meld this information together we will see what we need to do. We need to focus on what we need to do and please know we will always do things in the best interest of the school districts. This last video will help us focus.
How do we earn trust was one of the questions on the board last night. We need a sense of honesty and always having each other’s best interest in mind. `
The question this morning about why we should care about China is answered in here. Our children will have to deal with this influence. There were some great things put on the boards today and we’re going to carry them beyond today. We have to look at expanding and generating revenue and get more for our kids. We will be better with four or five schools than we can do alone. This is the message we can give to our parents, to our kids.
Thank you for today. The issue of trust between boards, staff, and administration must be addressed. I want to turn this over to a board member now.

I appreciate the chance to speak to you for a few moments. There are some things that go without saying. But sometimes there is a need to say them. Communication is one way to build trust.
First I want to apologize for what I did or did not do that made a situation more painful than it had to be. I want to discuss a process of what we went through, what we’re still dealing with, the lessons we learned and our directions going forward.
As you know we hired an outside, independent, professional person to review this highly volatile situation with a lot of misinformation and we wanted to have clear true information. This is one of the things that is still going on. I would like to read to you a letter from Jeff Wolfe on September 19th regarding the NSCA and Dan Hoesing. (reads letter)
I wanted to read this to you so you know the position of the board and to know that there were no inappropriate actions taken by the administration or staff of this district.
Our board has a commitment to increase the communication between all parties involved in this new direction. We’re dedicated to the kids of course, we’re committed to sharing resources to make quality programs, and we’re committed to challenging the process in order to find the best directions.
I want to say thanks to each of you for the dedication you show every day to the education of our kids. Before I hand it back over to Michael do you have any questions?
Thanks for your time and attention.
